With this option, you will receive an official home energy rating (HERS) for energy efficient mortgages, energy improvement mortgages, and the ENERGY STAR homes program. This rating is compared to a reference home on the HERS scale where the home is compared to a rating of 85 or lower. If your home is at 85 or below, it can qualify to receive the ENERGY STAR label, which in turn, will add value to your home in the long run.
