Although making your home more energy efficient can seem to be a little on the expensive side, the federal and state tax incentives are there to help. We want to make sure you understand what is being offered and will guide through the process of obtaining your tax credits and rebates.
What is a tax credit?A tax credit is a dollar for dollar value that reduces one’s actual tax liability. A tax credit is not the same as a tax deduction.
What is a rebate?A rebate is a partial refund followed by a purchase. In our case, the utility company will write the homeowner a check if they abide by the circumstances listed.
